Exactly, the new radio began broadcasting on September, 1st 2004, on the 107 MHz frequency and at noon. It’s located in Polus City Center, a shopping centre in Bratislava, Slovakia. This is very advantagous since we are very open to the public and therefore, extremely direct (the studio is “transparent”, so called aquarium).

On August, 3rd 2004, shortly after 18.00 the radio started the testing broadcast, which lasted until end of the month. The radio’s purpose is to be Bratislava-oriented, therefore it’s very unique since other Slovak radios do not focus on various cultural or political happenings in the capital of this country. Different shows, including Our Town (has several reports and information on the Bratislava events), The Guest in the House (famous/popular person talks about what’s new in his life), Teenage show during the weekend and many others, make the structure of the radio interesting.

The radio is for everyone – from children to elderly and also the music is very diverse.

What is admirable about our new radio is that as the only Slovak radio (I’m not including the SLOVAK radio, which is a STATE radio, and has an English, Hungarian and German section) we have International News – every working day at 00.15, 05.15 and 18.15 we have news in English, Hungarian and German language and we have even more plans in this field, for future.
